Philip S. Burnham, II was born in Englewood, Colorado. He graduated from Arcadia University with a Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in business in 1986. In 1990, he graduated from Widener University School of Law with his Juris Doctor. Philip started his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Rushton H. Ridgway J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
In 1994, he founded the Burnham Law Group, LLC (now Burnham Douglass Attorneys at Law), a firm focused on litigating and representing people and businesses from all walks of life, which firm is now Burnham Douglass headquartered in Marlton, NJ with a satellite office at the Jersey Shore in Northfield, that specializes in Family, Employment & Labor matters.
Phil has experience preparing and trying numerous cases in federal and state courts in both civil and criminal courts.
In addition to managing a successful law firm, Philip currently serves as an MESP panelist in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties. Philip is a Master in the Thomas J. Forkin Inn of Court and he is a former member of District III B Ethics Committee.
Philip is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania state and federal courts.
Professional History
Philip has represented a wide range of clients and one notable criminal defendant in a high-profile criminal racketeering case, which was litigated, in part, in Italy. He has represented clients large and small for 30 years. He has made headlines in cases of distinction, including a gender discrimination and whistleblower lawsuit he brought on behalf of three professional women against the Atlantic County Prosecutor.
Philip has received numerous awards and accolades. Philip is also a member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
Mr. Burnham is also a former member of the District IIIB Ethics Committee.
